The Sound Of Heaven

A couple of nights ago, we went to the live recording of David and Nicole Binion’s new album at the TBN studios in Dallas (by the way… when it comes out… GET IT. Just trust me. So good.) and it was such an incredibly refreshing night. Everyone in the room…every race, every background, so much diversity coming together to worship God wholeheartedly. I kept having this thought come to mind, during and after, that “This is what heaven sounds like”.

Voices raised to our God.

Unity that tears down walls.

No fear only love.

Perfect peace.

People that have never met worshiping together.

Shouting.

Dancing.

No concerns about what others think.

The body of Christ coming together and actually functioning as the body of Christ.

We live in a broken world, and sometimes it can seem like “Is this it?!” or it can be really frustrating because all we can see is the here and now and not big picture. That there is a place for us in heaven, where the angels are in never ending praise as they dance before the King.

However, I don’t believe for a second that this is it. That we should just sit down and say the world is broken and someday we will be in heaven and it’ll all be good… that’s true, but that would mean we have to refuse to walk in the victory that Jesus died for us to have.

The Bible teaches us that we are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2)… not just someday, but now. We are children of the King which means we have Kingdom authority. We have access to the creator. How much more does God want to do? Jesus didn’t die just for us to go to heaven and be miserable and live in fear until we get there, He wants us to bring a glimpse of heaven to earth.

Be a glimpse of heaven today. In the words you say, the way you carry yourself, the positivity you exude, the authority you walk in. Don’t give in and begin to accept evil, but command evil to leave in Jesus name. Join together with other believers and be the church. Stop picking each other apart and start building each other up. Let’s lift up the sound of heaven to our creator in unison.

Division is from the enemy. The enemy hates unity because God made unity. It was His design, His idea, and unity is exactly what His kingdom looks like. Join together in unity as heaven invades every crevice of the earth. It’s our time, worshippers…. RISE UP.
