The Lie

“You’re the only one.” 


Ever heard that one before? You’re just trudging along through life, when suddenly it happens - the enemy tries to convince you that you’re the only one being “ignored” by God. You look around and everyone else is living your dream and you’re still waiting for it to come to fruition. YOU’RE. THE. ONLY. ONE. 

You’re the only one God doesn’t love.

You’re the only one struggling to get pregnant. 

You’re the only one God isn’t listening to.  

You’re the only one hurting. 

You’re the only one financially struggling. 

You’re the only one depressed. 

You’re the only one who isn’t living a perfect life. 

You’re the only one facing this trial. 

You’re. The. Only. One. 

The enemy loves to isolate us. He loves to turn us against God and make us so jealous of those around us that we refuse any sign of a friendship. He loves to lie to us about who we are, who God is, and what God thinks about us. 

The enemy knows that if we actually DO grasp how much God loves us and know who we are in Him and actually begin to trust His word…. we are unstoppable - and he doesn’t like that. 

Let’s speak some truth in the face of those lies. God doesn’t have 1 favorite. It’s not you, it’s not me, it’s not your Pastor, it’s nobody - He doesn’t play favorites. He is wild about ALL OF US. He has something beautiful and incredible for each and every one of us. 

God is smarter than we are. He is never early, never late, and always right on time. 

Some of the best days of your lives haven’t even happened yet, guys. Don’t let the enemy rob you of joy today, tomorrow, or ever. 

You are seen.

You are heard.

You are valued.

You are loved.

God has a specific plan for you. 

Stay in His will, stay in your lane, and trust that the best is yet to come.

How Much Does Free Cost?

Recently, our staff went to Gateway Conference - which, as always, was incredible. Gateway thinks of EVERYTHING. Free snacks, Free coffee.. ya know, alllll the necessities.  Manny & I were getting a cup of their “Free coffee” and started talking about how cool it is that they offer this free coffee, especially since it is right next to their super cute coffee shop which, of course, the coffee there isn’t free. In The Waiting

Waiting on the Lord…… Isaiah 40:31-1 But they  that wait upon  the  Lord  shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Broken Worship

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a worrier. It’s not something I’m proud of, and it’s something I’m working on…. But I worry. I struggle with anxiety and somedays it overwhelms me. I think sometimes in worship we think it always has to be perfect and pretty, it has to be smiley and encouraging, it has to be jump-up-and-down-and-shout kinda praise. Now I will admit, I love to rejoice in the Lord and have some fun, and there’s nothing wrong with that…But I think we often forget that God wants it all, even our  broken worship . Yes, broken worship. You know the kind. The “I can’t do it anymore, I’m so tired, I’m so worried, I’m so scared, I need you”. The kind where you cry and it doesn’t look too pretty. The kind where you can’t sing anymore because you just sit in the presence of your Father and cry.
